La bêta de DaVinci Resolve v11 est disponible.

Hier a été une grosse journée pour Blackmagic. Après la mise à disposition de la version 1.8 du firmware de ses caméra (apportant par exemple le RAW à la Production 4K Camera), c’est au tour de DaVinci Resolve 11 d’être mis à disposition au public.

Le fameux logiciel d’étalonnage est donc proposé en version bêta et comporte encore de nombreux bugs. Attention donc si vous l’installez, il se substitue automatiquement à toute ancienne version de DaVinci Resolve. Veillez donc à ne pas migrer vos projets dessus avant la sortie définitive du logiciel.

Le logiciel comporte un certains nombres de nouveautés (voir ci dessous en anglais), mais on retiendra (outre le changement de logo et d’identité graphique) la progression de Resolve en tant que solution tout-en-une. Après avoir enrichi son panel de montage avec la version 10, la version 11 vient peaufiner le travail. À noter particulièrement l’apparition d’un module de copie des cartes avec création de checksume au sein même de Resolve. Sans vouloir créer un logiciel unique, Blackmagic est en train de réaliser un logiciel capable d’être le pilier du travail de post-production, sur lequel on revient à plusieurs étapes clefs. Car cet outil de clonage place Resolve déjà sur les plateaux de tournage, dans les équipes de Media Management et de DIT, avec possibilité de prémontage et/ou de transcodage, avant d’y revenir pour étalonnage et mastering.

Si la version bêta comporte encore de très nombreux bugs, vous pouvez d’ores et déjà venir vous frotter aux nouveautés logicielles et ergonomiques de DaVinci Resolve 11. Pour ma part d’un premier abord, je le trouve beaucoup mieux pensé que les premières versions de DaVinci 10, beaucoup plus facile à prendre en main. L’aspect un peu plus « user-friendly » du logiciel, destiné à séduire toujours de plus en plus les amateurs de vidéo, n’est pas très dérangeant dans la mesure où l’ensemble de fonctionnalités sont toujours accessibles en deux clics et non planquées dans d’innombrables menus comme il aurait été plus facile de le faire. La prise en charge (enfin!) des écrans multiples est non seulement un soulagement mais aussi une franche réussite.

Même si le logiciel ne connaît pas une véritable révolution avec cette nouvelle version, j’attends avec une certaine impatience l’arrivée de la version définitive.
